SEISMIC RISK AND VULNERABILITY
Research activities related to the assessment of the seismic vulnerability and the analysis of the damages to historical buildings located in seismic areas, with particular reference to historical buildings (places of worship and historic town centres), school buildings and the public building heritage in general (strategic and special buildings); Methods of assessment and reduction of seismic vulnerability and damage are implemented through procedures, action strategies and techniques, monitoring and relevant cost estimates, both prior to and after the seismic event, in terms of support to planning and emergency management.
