Webinar on Circular Economy

Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Virtual Platform. See webinar website

There is only one planet Earth, yet by 2050, the world will be consuming as if there were three.

This is the disturbing incipit of the EU Plan for the Circular Economy of the European Green Deal, that is the “new growth strategy aimed at transforming the EU into a fair and prosperous society, with a modern, resource efficient and competitive economy that will not generate net greenhouse gas emissions in 2050 and in which economic growth will be decoupled from resource use”.

Will we succeed in implementing the circular economy by 2050? Does our production system have the resources to adapt to the new sustainability standards, and at what costs?

Representatives of the academic world and international business will try to answer these questions in the CIRCULAR ECONOMY 2050 webinar, organized by Enterprise Europe Network Netherlands & Hanze International Business Office, with the support of CNR, in the framework of the European Consortium FriendEurope.

Participation is free of charge upon online registration to the webinar website

Friend Europe, coordinated by UnionCamere (Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce) of the Veneto Region, is one of the six Italian Consortia of the European network Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), for technological transfer and internationalisation of SMEs. CNR is represented in Friend Europe by five institutes of the CNR Research Area of Padova.
