The workshop “Circular Economy: Research for a Sustainable Future – Sustainable Concrete Made with Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAPCON)” will be held on Tuesday 22 March 2022 from 14:30 to 17:00. The workshop is organized in the framework of the RAPCON project, funded by Fondazione Cariplo, where ITC-CNR is in partnership with Politecnico di Milano, University of Bologna, and two industrial partners, Pavimental and CTI Coop. The workshop will be open to the public in online mode on Microsoft Teams after registration (see further information below).

In detail, professor Elena Redaelli (Politecnico di Milano) will open the workshop with an introduction on themes and objectives of the RAPCON project. It will be then followed by the speech of Pavimental on the presence of Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP) in Italy. The University of Bologna, represented by Alessandra Michelacci, will present the results obtained through the studies on the characterization of RAP aggregates. As an aggregate, RAP has been used in concrete, where its influence has been studied and will be presented by Andrea Filippi (Politecnico di Milano). Finally, a presentation on the CE Marking procedure of the product will be presented by ITC-CNR representative’s Salma Jaawani.

The participation to the workshop is free and will be held exclusively online.
