2014-2016 Project SMART CITIES AND COMMUNITIES “Rigers – Regeneration of the city: buildings and smart grids”
The project consists in the definition of diagnostic protocols: Multilevel (expeditious, standard and in-depth), multi-scale (building, industry and city) and multi-objective (energy, environmental and seismic). The contribution of ITC focuses on the development of diagnostic procedures and the implementation of calculation software. It will identify energy-environmental regeneration strategies for the definition of a decision support tool. Finally, the studies will be applied to buildings in use.

2014-2015 Project SMART CITIES AND COMMUNITIES Regione Lombardia “SIDE – Diagnosis Integrated System of Buildings”
The project plans to develop a system for the diagnosis of the building, the monitoring of internal environmental comfort, the control of environmental, energy and functional parameters of air-conditioning systems. The system is characterized by different levels of use, provides embedded sensors and devices in the elements of the building during the construction phase (casing components, equipment, etc.) and allows to optimize the commissioning of buildings via Wi-Fi and dialogue on a web platform with the various stakeholders (owner, building manager, designer, municipalities, etc.), facilitating the creation and management of buildings with zero impact (zero impact buildings). The contribution of ITC is to define 3 levels of energy audit. The activities focus on the development of diagnostic procedures that take into account: energy consumption (level I diagnosis), the proper functioning of the system and the compliance with thermal comfort requirements (level II diagnosis) and proper building management according to a QI approach (level III diagnosis). Studies have been applied to buildings through the development of algorithms to process control and implementation logics by local and remote computer-based interfaces.
